Ken Boshcoff, the MP for Thunder Bay - Rainy River, wrote the following statements regarding Stephane Dion's 'Green Shift' carbon tax program:
"The Liberal Party’s Green Shift announced on June 19th marked the most
aggressive anti-poverty program in 40 years. The ‘shift’ will transfer
wealth from rich to poor, from the oil patch to the rest of the country, and
from the coffers of big business to the pockets of low-income Canadians.

I invite and encourage everyone to visit www.thegreenshift.ca to see how
this comprehensive plan will benefit low-income Canadians. I will continue
to work collaboratively with my Liberal colleagues towards a fairer, richer,
greener Canada."

So Albertans, and now Saskatchewanites, ought to worry, 28 years later, about the Liberals introducing a plan intended to destroy their economies in order to secure the Eastern vote. This time, the plan entitled: 'Green Shift', will transfer wealth to the east under the guise of environmental stewardship.
Say hello to the National Energy Program's successor.
Dion's plan will transfer wealth from hard-working people, in a region fueling the country's economic growth, into Liberal social spending. These are the same programs Stephane Dion has already announced, but did not offer an explanation as to how he would pay for them.
It has become readily apparent that Stephane Dion and the Liberal Party have been lying to Canadians about the true purpose of the 'Green Shift' carbon tax plan. Switch-and-bait tactics that play one region of the country against another is a time honoured Liberal tactic. You want to see how mad Western Canadians can get? Wait and see what would happen if Dion and the Liberals have the opportunity to implement their plan.
Stephane Dion and the Liberals must be stopped.
Edit: I realized that I had mispelled Boshcoff's name as Boschoff. I have made the necessary corrections to the post.
